A Content Management System (CMS) allows you to create, manage, and update your website’s content from almost any browser, without needing to know any programming languages. In many cases, purchase of third-party software is not required.

cms html editor 1Content is entered using a text editor that has an interface very similar to modern word processors. The text editor includes features such as text formatting (bold, italics, underline, font colors, font sizes, etc.), paragraph formatting (center, left, right, justified), bulleted or numbered lists, links, images (uploading, inserting, and formatting), videos (uploading and inserting), etc. If you're familiar with HTML, you can switch to the HTML mode to edit the code.

You can also prepare content in advance, and schedule it for publication at a time that is convenient to you. This is especially helpful prior to holidays, vacations, or scheduled closures; having the content automatically published to your site doesn't interfere with your time off.

Additional plugins can include add-on modules such as map utilities, online shopping cart, event registration, membership tracking, image slide shows, image galleries, guest books, calendar of events, and more. These plugins can be included when your website is created, or added at a later time.
